Knightly Tournaments in Rab
Knight tournaments are held 4 times a year in the town of Rab. During the summer season, you can visit 3 of them: on June 25th, July 27th, and August 15th. The Knightly Tournaments that start on July 27 are held in honor of St. Christopher, who is the protector of the town of Rab.
Fishermen's nights on Rab
Fishermen's nights are famous folklore celebrations of fishing, traditional preparations, and fish consumption. Each village has its own fishermen’s night, which means that at least one is held on Rab every week. Join this unique event and enjoy local food and drink.
Rapska fjera
At the end of July, the first and largest medieval festival in Croatia is held - Rapska Fjera. This festival has a long tradition that began on July 21, 1364. It is held in honor of King Louis of Posavina who liberated Rab from the Venetians. It also celebrates the memory of St. Christopher, who saved the town of Rab from destruction. During Fjera, visitors are offered the opportunity to see firsthand how traditional fragrances and costumes were made, as well as how the hair was styled in the Middle Ages.
